CSS Age Limit CSS Eligibility Criteria in 2023


CSS (Central Superior Services) is a competitive examination conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) in Pakistan for recruitment to various posts in the federal government. The eligibility criteria for CSS 2023 are as follows:

Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of Pakistan or a person with dual nationality. 

Age Limit

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 31st December of the year in which the examination is held. However, there is a relaxation in age limit for certain categories such as:

a. Five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized tribes of the Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. 

b. Three years for candidates belonging to Backward areas, i.e. Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan. 

c. Ten years for disabled persons. 

Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 2nd division or Grade C from a recognized university. Candidates awaiting their result can also apply but they must provide the proof of passing the Bachelor's degree before the commencement of the examination. 

Physical Fitness

 The candidate must be physically fit and meet the prescribed physical standards. 

No Criminal record

The candidate must not have been convicted of any criminal offence. 

Number of Attempts

The candidate can appear in the CSS examination a maximum of three times.
